Snowblower Identity

Another Mike Collins,

Last Dec 14 th I bought a brand-new snowblower on-line, but not just any snowblower. I bought a Briggs and Stratton, 250 cc, with a headlight and heated hand grips! This snowblower is powerful enough to clean the snow off any surface with an accumulated snow depth of up to 4 feet, all the while keeping your hands toasty warm.

The problem is I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. It's not that it hasn’t snowed, it's just that the snowblower still hasn’t been delivered. In late Dec, when I inquired about it. I was told that it had been delivered to a Mike Collins in Kitchener not Thorold. I can’t believe there is another Mike Collins out there enjoying my snowblower!

The on-line company apologized for the mix up and promised to send me another snowblower. (at a slight discount!) Now that’s what I call a costly major mix up in identity. Speaking of our identity, the Bible says in Galatians chapter 2, “Your faith will grow stronger as you focus on your identity in Christ”.

What this means is that you abandon any image of yourself that is not from God. That you stop accepting what others have said about you, how others have labeled you, and how others have defined you. God is pleased with how he created you, and that God defines you. There is never any mix-up.

Not so when it comes to my snowblower! So if your ever in Kitchener and you see someone using a Briggs and Stratton snowblower…and it looks brand new….and His hands seem toasty warm….that’s my snow blower…so feel free to park in His driveway…..that’s where Mike Collins lives…..the other Mike Collins that is…
