Steven deBoer has been the pastor at Providence Church since 2005.
He is a relentless hoper in a better future, and is energized most by ideas, and witnessing things, people, families, churches and whole communities being renewed.
Steve enjoys coffee, conversations, and camping, and is a closet farmer at heart.
Steve is married to Lesley, and together, they have three children.
Mike Collins, Pastor for Town of Lincoln | Contact
Mike Collins, a former church planter, now serves as the Community Pastor for the Town of Lincoln.
He is passionate about developing opportunities for community engagement that add value to neighborhoods, and opportunities for gospel centered ministry that transforms lives and communities.
Mike is married, with 3 married sons, and has 5 grandchildren.
Deb Hunter, Office Administrator | Contact
Deb Hunter is the voice you hear when you call in and the hub of the Providence wheel as the office administrator and bookkeeper.
Her prior career included 15 years of the home education of her 3 children, the best job she ever had.
She fills her time with running the streets of Beamsville, hiking the Bruce Trail with her dog, and supporting her husband with his school robotics team, Team 2056.

Ruth Veldhuizen, Director of Care | Contact
Ruth Veldhuizen began as the Director of Care here at Providence in September of 2015.
She has been a Registered Practical Nurse at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for 10 years, where she continues to work part-time.
She is married to Nathan and has 3 children, Austin, Wesley, and Chloe. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys walking, hiking, and playing games.
Ruth is passionate about caring for people and equipping and leading people to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Debbie van Oord, Director of Children/Youth Ministry | Contact
Debbie van Oord is the Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Providence, in addition to leading the before and after school program at the YMCA.
A previous east coaster (from New Brunswick... the most underestimated province), Debbie is passionate about creating a respectful environment for children to grow and learn how much God loves them.
She is also an official "Tante" to 11 niece and nephews, and, unofficially, to many more!
Nicole Wikkerink, Director of Groups | Contact
Nicole Wikkerink serves as the Director of Small Groups and Hospitality.
She believes in the importance of groups to explore and develop faith, as well as care for each other. Nicole has a degree majoring in both Psychology and Religion; and previously worked as an addictions counsellor.
Nicole is married to Dan and has three children, Jordyn, Kaiden and Bowen.
Scott Holmes, Director of Digital Technology | Contact
Scott Holmes volunteers as the Director of Digital Technology.
He manages our tech side, especially on Sunday mornings.
When he isn't volunteering, Scott is owner and operator of Extreme Technology.
He and his wife Callie recently added a baby daughter to their family.
He is an avid Buffalo Sabres fan.
Hemmo Oosterveen, Director of Facilities | Contact
Hemmo Oosterveen is the Director of Facilities.
With the support of volunteers like himself, Hemmo keeps our facilities and grounds functional, fresh and inviting to all. It’s also important to him that parents know their children are in safe spaces.
When Hemmo not volunteering, he is employed in the greenhouse industry. Traveling with his wife Theresa is a highlight, only to be outdone by spending time with their 3 adult children.
Kevin Stienstra, Director of Finance | Contact
Kevin Stienstra volunteers his time to act as the Director of Finance at Providence.
For his day job, he is a tax accountant at Grant Thornton LLP.
He is married to Nicole, and has 4 daughters, Jaylen, Mya, Lily and Ella. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing sports, and coaching his children at soccer.
Kevin's goal as Director of Finance is to manage the church’s finances so that the churches ministries and mission in the community can be blessed to the full extent possible.
